Border Blacktips New season dates
The first two competition dates have been set for our new season. Mark off your calendars now and don’t miss out as this season is going to be bigger and better than the last. We have learnt from the first season and now we are taking serious action in putting out some new exciting prizes. New sponsors have come on board. Cash prizes are back in the menu and we look forward to making an awesome season together.
First Comp:24th March @ Kidds beach.
Second Comp:12th May @ Haga Haga.

Is All The Prices And Annual Membership Prices Staying The Same Or…?
The membership fee has gone up to R400 but each comp will only cost you R70.
If you bring a new person who has never fished any rasspl event and is a non rasspl member. You will only pay R20 for the comp. The new member will pay the full comp cost. Moral of the story is bring someone new every time and things will be cheap.
What do you think about that shane like/dislike
Just a cocern! judging by the compo dates having a compo every 2nd month may produce a bottle neck towards the end of the year.

4th Aug full moon low @ 11h02 venue
13th oct dark moon low @ 08h08 venue
10th Nov moving towards dark moon low @ 6h45 venue
1st Dec full moon low @ 10h55 venue
26th Jan 2013 full moon low @ 9h35 double mouth

what about June/ July, the heart of the shad season.
John just a suggestion I found loads of anglers are also hunters and missed the PE RASSPL comps to go hunting in June and July. The year runs from March to March and you might want to set a date for late January probably close to town to avoid hi costs after December shopping.
Most cleaver anglers will introduce 12 new members and fish free the whole year without paying a cent to enter any comps in the 2012 season. For every angler you personally get to become a member you will receive a R50 discount 8 new members = R400 that cover your membership the next 4 cover the R20x8 you would have paid to fish and I will pay any angler R50 per new member that joins as a member. That can go towards petrol and drinking money and if there is any left that can pay for bait.

You said that the first league is at Kidds beach but you didnt say say to were. Looking forward to a new year of fishing rasspl cant wait.

Kidds beach boundaries will be from the end of worm wood hollows to end of leonards bay.
Ill do some maths on the above suggestions and will be looking at finalizing the dates and venues.

My 20c worth for you and Owen to consider.
How about Glen Eden to Cintsa for the 4th August. Nice tide for this area. Good rocky areas, Glen Eden to Cintsa West and good surf Cintsa East (Cefane) area, all with easy access.
Would also recommend looking at Port Alfred area for at least two or three of the remaining dates for the benefit of the anglers in that area. Maybe Speareye and co can recommend areas other than those fished in the national.
And then there is Keysers to Chulumna?

Port Alfred guys will be happy with any venues our side of East London. Leagues other side EL get expensive with traveling and accommodation. See you all next month at Kidds Beach
